The Ring......

The story of Gina's ring is interesting and sweet.   Clay and Gina are not much for lots of fuss and weren't going to worry about getting rings - they had decided to reuse a ring Clay had given Gina - a right handed ring.  Well you know us Moms - we can't leave well enough alone.  My Mother had told me she wanted me to have her jewelry which included a small diamond engagement ring that belonged to her Mother- my Grandmother...."Grannie".   So we had this idea to get together with Clay and he would create a ring from this pile of mixed jewelry.  We went to a local jeweler - Boltonhouse - and this is what they came up with.  Clay worked with them to make this set similar to the original ring and in the very center is my Grannie's engagement ring.  This made us feel very included in the process and we were so excited for her to have this small little family heirloom.  In my heart, I feel that Grannie would have loved the ring and Clay as she never saw him before she died and we know she would have very much loved his choice in Gina!
